Check out this video I found on YouTube.  It is about how educators can integrate information literacy skills and technology skills in to the existing curriculum.  The video suggests this to be done through the help of your library media specialist.  It really made me stop and think!

Questions to ponder:

  • Do you think that this should only be done by your library media specialist?
  • How did  all the facts presented in this video make you feel about the way our education system today and where it is going?
  • What other Web 2.0 sources do you know of and/or use on a daily basis?  How have these tools helped you as an educator?

  1. This was a very enlightening video. I don't think that it should be done by only the library media specialist. There is just way too much information and technology out there for this to rely on the shoulders of the library media specialist.

Parents and teachers should share in the responsibility. Sometimes I think our current education system can't keep up with this ever changing barrage of technology. Of course, money will also be an issue of trying to keep up with what's new.

All of the Web 2.0 sources that were listed for the next assignment are all new to me. I really don't know of any other ones to suggest.
