My top instructional sites would have to be our Reading series site, Thinkcentral https://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/, Enchanted Learning http://www.enchantedlearning.com/Home.html, and BrianPop http://www.brainpop.com/
ThinkCentral is a site that goes with our reading stories on line for the students to read and listen to. It also provides many resources for the students and parents to use such as workbook pages. We use it in whole group lessons and the students use it during centers.
Enchanted Learning is a site that I use for teacher resources, but it also provides many resources for students to use also. Students can search many topics to find information and printables to do on the topic. They even have a wide range of dictionaries for studies to use. One I use during my dinosaur unit is their Dinosaur Dictionary.
BrainPop is a site that you have to subscribe to, but it has many free resources for teachers and students also. It has many animated video on Science, Social Studies, English, Math and other topics. This videos are very cute and engage many of my students. So many of our students are visual learners and comprehend better when things look like the video games they play all the time!
My oldest son goes on Brain Pop at home all the time. He watches the videos for science, math, health, and social studies. His favorite one to watch is about dinosaur fossils. He sometimes prints out the pictures that go along with the videos. I think it's a great website.
